Why So Glum, Sugar Plum?

I'm not really glum - I'm merely trying to force fall into happening. However, that seems to be backfiring on me. I am wearing fall-ish outfits, and yet it's supposed to be in the 80s today here in Huntington Beach. Oh well, at least this is another of my favorite dresses. It's made by Ann Taylor, is 100% cashmere, and always looks great. And it's super comfy as well.

And by the way, it's plum colored. It didn't come with this belt. I got the belt at Stein Mart. I wear it backwards, with the buckle in the back, so that it looks like a sash around my waist. It's made of sequins.

Since it's green, pink, and purple, that allows me to mix other colors with the dress. So I took my Joan Rivers necklace and made it green and purple today.

Remember, it comes apart, and you have four color choices for both the outer petals, and the inner petals that are held in place by the pearl center piece.

I also mixed colors in the jewelry I picked. On my left, I have my wedding set and two gold bracelets, one of peridot, and one of mixed gemstones. On my right, I have an emerald and diamond ring,and two more gold bracelets, one amethyst and one more with mixed gemstones.

I sometimes wear black suede boots with this dress, but not until winter. But, never fear, that allowed me to wear a pair of shoes that are super cool, but somewhat unusual. They are made by Hale Bob. They are black leather, and are a bit shiny, but not patent. The heel and small platform are made of a tweed fabric that is shot through with gold thread.

The best feature is the ornament on the top of the peep toe. It combines every color of the rainbow. I have had these shoes for a number of years, and none of the stones have fallen out yet.
