It's a botanical print, and is made of shiny, silky material. I always wear a tank underneath it, because the neckline is a tad revealing. Here's a closeup of the print and the rhinestone encrusted tank I have beneath it.
I love the delicacy of the print. It also has a full box pleated skirt. When I wear this dress, I always wear the same two necklaces - one is purple Austrian crystals, and one is translucent green beads with Austrian crystals in between.
Om my arms, I have mostly things I have worn before on the blog, with the exception of the ring on my right hand. It's made of two teardrop stones set East-West. One is blue topaz and one is pale amethyst. I also have a gold bracelet and an amethyst bracelet. On my left, a gold/diamond bangle and a diamond/emerald ring.
So let's go back to the weekend. On Saturday night, I stopped and got Kenni a new vest at Wal Mart. He is solidly between a medium and a large. The harness I currently have is a large, and he can Houdini his way out of it. So I got a medium vest, which is super snug, but works much, much better.
Then, later on in the evening, I made myself a nice snack of thick cut tater slices.
Yummy!!! On Saturday, we went to see my mom at Villa Valencia. I wore a matching linen set by Norton McNaughton. It's a lovely peachy pink color. I have never worn both pieces together, and upon looking at this picture, I can see why.
It's a bit shapeless, and has a definite grandma vibe ( and not in the cool grannie way, like me, and Mis Papelicos :) . I think that I will revert to my usual, and wear the top with jeans and the skirt with something more form fitting, and heels. I have jeans trimmed at the hem with peach leather that I usually wear with this top. For shoes, I wore my Red Box thongs, because they are flat and comfy.
I got these at Queen Bee in Newport Beach a loooong time ago - they have endured because I don't wear them often. Here's a closeup of the detail on this skirt set - it has lace insets and multiple tiny rows of pleats diagonally across the skirt.
For a necklace, I wore my little gold and Austrian crystal Chihuahua necklace that I bought for myself because I love Elli so dearly.
The cashier lady at Stater Brothers commented on it. Then she woudln't stop talking - the customers behind us started to get all riled. She was odd, to say the least. Speaking of odd, we went to Centerfield's, a sports bar in Huntington Beach, for the opening day of NFL football. Well, there was a problem, and the restaurant was unable to serve any food. They said it was the computer that they put the orders into, but I don't believe that - they take the orders on a paper pad, so why not just use that? So they handed out free bacon and eggs and hashbrowns. My companion was not happy, because he ordered something vastly different from eggs n' bakey, but I was fine. I like free.
For today's link up, I joined LeeAnn at www.jointhegossip.com. Cruise over there and check it out. Her post today is a little sad, since she lost her beloved pet. I can relate, unfortunately. Speaking of which, today is Isabel's cleaning day, so Elli had to be crated. This time I was smart, and bribed her with some rib eye that I froze from last week's dinner, specifically for this day.
Score : Rosie 1, Elli 0. Have a great day!!!
Thanks for linking up and the sweet words - here and on my post. I really appreciate it :) And I love that Chihuahua necklace. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteYou're making me want to take a trip to Huntington, haven't been in a few weeks. I'll skip Centerfields though haha :)
I could not for the life of me think of another sports bar. Then later when we went dowtown, there was good ol' 301 Main. And that restaurant has Taco Tuesday!! Ole!!!
