From the Millennium Back to the 80s

Yesterday was all millennium, with an outfit from last year:

One of my favorite dresses, from Taylor via Neiman Marcus.

I topped it with my leather swing jacket from INC.

The back is entirely Venice lace.

Here's a better look :

On my left arm, a tanzanite bangle , a Swarovski triple band and one of my mom's diamond rings.

On my right arm, a costume silver tone / crystal bracelet and a wide tanzanite band.

Today, we fly back in time to the eighties. First, another favorite piece - my Calvin Klein jumpsuit.

I wore a Versace belt to cover the elastic waist.

Now, away we go - this jacket was actually bought in the eighties, when I lived in San Diego.

It just so happens that baseball jackets are back in style.

In this dark shot, two necklaces - one emerald / diamond and one LV lock.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings and a seed bead cuff from the Chakra Shack in Laguna Beach.

On my right arm, two gold/diamond dust bracelets.

And I got my Birchbox this month - I absolutely love the box.

Here's what was inside, from top to bottom:

1) Smashbox cosmetics Always On Gel Eye Liner
2) Beautaniq Beauty Fill and Tame Brow Gel - it's blonde, but my eyebrows are black, so I just use a little to tame them.
3) CLEAN Reserve Citron Fig Eau de Parfum
4) OUAI Volume Spray
5) COOLa SPF 30 Organic Makeup Setting Spray

And that's it for now - see you all later!!!

Happy 4th Birthday, Calista!!!

My granddaughter Calista, had her birthday party last Saturday. But first, this is what I wore on Friday:

This is a Calvin Klein knit dress that gives an optical illusion of a perfect hourglass shape.

On top, my Ann Taylor classic black zip front blazer.

With this outfit, I wore my buffalo turquoise and smoky topaz necklace.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings and a leather studded cuff.

On my right arm, my Swarovski Nirvana in Black Diamond and my Infinity bracelet.

Friday night, Doc made us hot dogs for dinner.

Here is what we gave Calista for her birthday :

We got her a Barbie - she has a pet dog and it can give birth to three puppies. We also got her two really cool books. It all got wrapped up in a hot pink bag.

And here is the birthday girl herself, all in pink.

The theme for her party was "Pinkalicious".

The party was held at Liberty Park - there are quite a few jungle gyms there, as well as pagodas to shelter from the sunny or cloudy skies.

Here's Benjamin (5)

And here's Joseph (7)

Instead of pin the tail on the donkey, Kim had pin the cherry on the cupcake:

Three kids hit it right on the target. it would have been easy to cheat - just feel for the top of the paper and move to the middle. One of the older kids figured it out.

And for dessert, cupcakes that looked just like the one in the game:

It was breezy, so it was hard to get the four candles on Calista's cupcake lit.

Later on, Preston came over to get his belated Easter gift:

He got slime, a TRex eraser, and a genuine Indian tomahawk/ peace pipe.
It was NOT wrapped fancy.

Back to work today, and this is what I wore:

A Style and Co top from San Antonio, with some classic black knit slacks.. I was there for a conference. I saw a fellow attendee, and she told me that the Macy's was going out of business and everything was super cheap. It was.

This is a very easy and comfy top.

I wore two necklaces - the shorter one is a souvenir from Kansas City and the longer one is from a neighbor's daughter who was selling Paparazzi Accessories.

On my left arm, an INC cuff from Fort Lauderdale and my yellow gold rings.

On my right arm, an enamel/crystal ring from Saks, and a stretchy crystal cuff, also from Saks.

And that's all, until I see you again!!

This Week's Work Wear

On Tuesday, it all started with my tan Theory dress.

On top, a Misook ruffly waterfall cardigan.

My recently repaired Joan Rivers statement necklace makes an appearance.

On my left arm, a stretchy crystal bracelet from Saks and my huge smoky topaz ring.

On my right arm, a gold/diamond dust bangle and my veiny boulder ring from Nordstrom.

Yesterday, I was once again flying the friendly skies. This is a green jacket from Petite Sophisticate and some old ivory trousers.

I accessorized with a scarf from Ireland, a South Sea pearl pendant and a long faux emerald pendant.

Today, I'm "Checkin' In" in a houndstooth dress, also from Nordstrom.

I added the red satin ribbon sash.

On top, my deep red leather jacket from id Sport.

I wore my garnet blossom necklace. All of the jewelry I am wearing were gifts from my mom.

A three row garnet bracelet was a gift, but the ruby/diamond band and the solitaire were wedding rings.

On my right arm, a garnet/opal bracelet and a crystal ring.

And that's all for today.
