Yesterday was another presentation day, so I had to whip out another super professional outfit:
Don't you love the "duh" look on my face? Hopefully, it was gone by the time I had to speak.
This is a Kasper suit in a strange neutral color that I cannot even begin to describe, but it seems to match with everything.
Here is the Loft blouse that I wore underneath. It is taupe with gold lurex accents and a tie neck.
My costume necklace is actually a long strand that I wound around my neck twice. That way, it doesn't compete with the bow.
On my left arm, a tricolor gold bracelet and my yellow gold wedding set.
On my right arm, a costume ring and the gold bracelet that my mom gave me. I was rough with it and broke it, but the jeweler did a great job repairing it.
Today, I am a vision in plum. This tweed skirt has always been snug, but it seemed even tighter this morning. I guess it's one of two things - either too many late night burritos, or my ever shifting post menopausal body. When I look at the picture of my chest and arms above, I think I look bony and definitely don't want to get any skinnier. So I will just try not to eat gut bombs right before bed, or else this is what happens when you are pushing 60. It is a VERY old skirt.
The top is from Nordstrom, and you will see the pewter chain detail a little bit later.
On top, a waterfall cardigan from Macy's by Style and Company. I got it at an after Christmas sale a few years ago. I got both burgundy and tan, because they worked out to be around $7 each.
Well, I lied. You can barely see the pewter trim on the T shirt. But it is exactly the same color as the long dangly necklace that is actually a belt. I got it at White House, Black Market in Las Vegas.
On my left arm, a costume ring and silver bracelet.
On my right arm, another costume ring and a bracelet that I got from EBay.
Here's a better look at this tight sucker. It is loosening up as the day goes by, so at least I can breathe. My adorable shoes are Valentino, but they need to go to the shoemaker.

Va Va Velour
Okay, it seems like I am almost at the bottom of the basket that I found in the garage that was full of velour turtlenecks and other tops that I had stashed since the 90s. Two more fuzzy getups for today:
With my forest green top, I wore a skirt from Studio M. It is embellished and beaded, and I will show you that below.
On top, I wore an equally vintage Thierry Mugler gabardine zip front jacket.
Here is the detail on the skirt. It's navy blue and deep green.
On my right arm, a CZ bracelet and my Montana peridot ring.
On my left arm, a Tiffany charm bracelet, a diamond eternity band, and an emerald/diamond ring that was my mom's.
I wanted to wear boots, but my BCBGs are black with gold hardware, and since the jacket has silver hardware, I switched to my Newport News harness boots.
My necklace is a bit difficult to see, but it is black velvet with rhinestone accents.
On top, the fuzz!!! It's a navy and black plaid boucle jacket made by Joseph A.
The dress has this silver bar trim at the keyhole neckline. So I wore a fuzzy velour choker with a nice sparkly center. I got it at Nordstrom in Portland. There is a longer silver herringbone necklace, but you can't see it in this picture.
On my right hand, a amethyst/opal ring and an Italian silver bracelet.
On my left arm, two diamond tennis bracelets, my diamond eternity band, and a pale blue topaz ring.
You can see the silver necklace somewhat in this picture.

A different kind of fuzzy today. We will start with my Label by Five 12 crepe sheath dress with the pleather trim. I got it from Saks.

Mi Poquita Sombra
Yesterday, my little shadow Pandi kept photobombing. It was my housekeeper's day, so Pandi was due to go to work with Doc. I guess she was looking for a way out.
"Don't mind me. I am just trying to hide so I don't have to work, mama".
Mission accomplished, but she still went to work later that morning. There's nothing really special about my outfit. Just some old navy dress slacks from Nordstrom and a red velour turtleneck. The jacket is pretty cool. It is vintage, by LeRoy, and I got it in Portland way back in June.
It is a nice substantial knit, kind of the same quality as St John Santana. It's also thickly textured.
Two necklaces. The shorter one is another Joan Rivers convertible piece that was my mom's. You can't really see, but I chose the amber marble. The longer one is a Louis Vuitton lock pendant that was a gift with purchase.
On my left arm, an INC red leather cuff and my yellow gold wedding rings.
On my right arm, a ruby/diamond ring and a ruby bracelet.
Onto today. This is a Worthington skirt that is coral with navy side panels. It is fully lined. It's nice quality for a JC Penney item.
I topped it with a pirate sweater from Michael Kors.
The sweater also has good quality gold tone accents - rings and aglets with the MK logo.
Tow necklaces again, both diamond and sapphire.
A close up of the sapphire bracelets that I wear a lot.
And the sapphire/diamond ring that I always wear with them.
Some Friday end of the work week linking!!1

Spooky Times
Well, our Halloween was kind of a non-event. The LA Dodgers are in the World Series, and last night was a make or break situation. So ZERO kids came to the door. That's okay, since we had the haunted bookcase the other day.
This is what I wore to give my coworkers a scare:
Easy twill slacks in chocolate brown, with a brown lurex cardigan and a velvet top underneath.
The top is half burgundy and half brown, with a gold, beaded trim at the empire waist.
My costume necklace matched perfectly - a triple strand of black, burgundy and gold faceted beads.
On my right arm, a Native American souvenir copper bracelet and two rings.
The rings are identical, except for one is garnet and one is citrine.
On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding rings and an INC stretch cuff.
Today, I have to be much less scary, since we are having another survey at the hospital, and professionalism is a must:
I have a pair of lightweight wool Jones New York tattersall slacks and a copper lurex polo from Joseph A.
On top, a wool crepe blazer from Premier. Sadly, it has significant wear on the pocket and cuffs, so this will be its last hurrah.
My Ann Taylor thin leopard belt is calf's hair print.
Here is a look at the embroidery on the blazer sleeves.
My costume necklace is also INC. It's rose gold tone, with darker large crystals.
On my right arm, just my creepy green ring from Nordstrom.
On my left arm, my Swarovski duo: the Nirvana ring in Black Diamond and the Infinity bracelet.
