Eclipse and E Geese

I'm sure everyone is watching the eclipse and getting good pictures. So I will leave that to the professionals. But as I was running through HB Central Park this weekend, I saw my beloved Egyptian Geese. They grow so fast !!!

I also got around to getting some pictures of Pandi and Elli printed up for frames I had chosen for them.

 Here is Elli's memorial, which is my favorite picture of her.

Her collar and one of her dresses is hanging next to the picture.

I also indulged my flower fetish a bit. First, I made a new basket, using the box from the Trader Joe's sunflowers we got last week. I put in Birds of Paradise. We have a lot of them and they last forever once cut.

I got a hot pink mini-rose and put it on my mom's sewing machine. Pink was her favorite color.

And for the cedar chest, a little purple flower - I'm not sure what they are called.

Back to work today, and this is what I wore:

The black ponte pants are from Express, the pale green linen jacket is from Mossimo, and there is a Weekend Express tank underneath.

You can see the tank better in this shot of my green bead necklace. The embroidery is 3-D.

On my right arm, my Montana peridot ring and two enamel bangles.

On my left arm, my Irish claddagh weeding ring and a gold tone costume bracelet.

I Am Blossoming

Sort of. It's mostly my front and back yards. We had a five year drought here in California that pretty much ended with last winter's non-stop rain. I have always loved to have many flowers and plants around, and now they are producing like they used to pre-drought. Here is my latest creation:

Bright orange roses, African daisies, Gerbera daisies, English lavender, and basket flowers. I love how I can just walk around the yard and cut some beauties and place them around the house.

As far as what I am wearing today, it all started with this handkerchief hem dress :

Cute, but notice the bra straps. A big work no-no. Even though I wear a white exam jacket out on the floors of the hospital, I still have to walk in from the parking lot. So I  tossed on my grey origami swing jacket.

A tad frumpy, but it does the trick.

Another necklace from Paparazzi that I bought from my neighbor's daughter - she is a stay at home mom, and makes extra money this way.

On my right arm, just a sapphire/diamond band.

On my left arm, a safety pin bracelet and white gold wedding rings.

A Little Bit Country

And a little bit posh. I say this because of my jacket:

This Chanel-inspired jacket is from Silk Land. It's a little bit country because the trim is denim. Underneath, I have a crocheted sweater dress from Victoria's Secret.

Spreading my wings to remove the jacket to show you the dress. The jacket is fully lined in hot pink silk.

With this outfit, I am wearing a costume necklace with big pearls and pink crystal drops.

On my left arm, an X ring from INC and a stretchy crystal bracelet from Saks.

On my right arm, an opal/diamond ring and a gold/diamond dust bangle.

I never showed you the Ipsy bag that came last week. The theme is peace love lipstick. And below the bag is a big fluffy powder brush.

All Hail the Queen

All morning long, I have been getting comments about the sweater I am wearing today.

The color of Royalty !!! This is the top half of a very old St John suit. I combined it with an ivory dress that is basically the same fabric as the Santana knits, but not as thick and luxe.

Then I veered into Egyptian royalty with my Cleopatra style necklace. It is matte gold with multi colored cabochons.

On my right arm, a knobby twisted gold bracelet and an amethyst ring.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding set and a turquoise/tanzanite bracelet.

But guess what color I wore yesterday ?

Royal blue, of course !! Actually, it's more navy blue, but bear with me. This is a Parker dress from their collaboration with Target a few years ago. One word of caution -- I am only 5'5", and this dress was so short that i had to rip out the very ample hem and make it about 4" longer.

The multicolored print panel down the front is really a nice print. It has blue, white, green and coral in the mix.

There is also a coral colored ring around the collar. You can see it better in this picture of the two necklaces I wore. The longer gold tone one is a lariat with tassels that i got from a neighbor who sells the Paparazzi accessory line. The other one is a convertible pin/pendant from Joan Rivers. I used the coral insert with the green enhancer.

On my right arm, a turquoise enamel ring with a green stone, and a diamond cut gold bracelet.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding set, a lab created emerald tennis bracelet, and a coral bracelet from Maui Divers in Honolulu.

As I may have told you, we went to a luau at a neighbor's house on Saturday. This is what I wore:

This is one of those 2 piece outfits that they to sell to the tourists while they were laying on the beaches in Mexico having a margarita. It was $10.

The whole island theme gave me a chance to wear the black coral necklace that a friend made for me from coral that was harvested in the Caribbean Sea.

I also had to do the hula girl hair!!

Both arms had honu bangles that I got at the swap meet in Pearl Harbor one year.

As we left, I gave Pandi a big smooch.

Well, I tried to.

This is the expression of a dog lover whose dog is having none of that human kissy stuff.

Yesterday, we just did a bit of grocery shopping. I bought two little flowers at Trader Joe's and made two from the flowers in the yard.

The one above and the one below are made of flowers from our front yard.

Then I got a mini rose to give some color to my master bath. It's all white, so any color will be fine.

Then, they had these mini sunflowers in little wooden boxes - so cute !!

Back to work today - I have a meeting to chair, so I have to look extra nice.

This is a scuba knot dress with Venice lace sides, made by Jax. I got it at Neiman Marcus.

I wore two necklaces - the shorter one is a lacy medallion and the longer one has crystal stations.

 On my right arm, a silver bracelet and a mother of pearl spaceship ring.

On my left arm, two diamond bracelets, and eternity band and a pear solitaire.
