Feeling Blue, but in a Good Way

If I am blue today, then it's all Calvin Klein's fault:

I am wearing a pair of his slacks, along with the top that was displayed with it at the store. I got this outfit a couple of years ago, along with the dress I wore last week. The color is called cerulean, and it must have been the color of the year for the brand.

My costume necklace from San Luis Obispo has always been my go-to for this outfit. It matches perfectly.

On my right arm, an emerald/diamond ring, a lab created emerald tennis bracelet, and a tri-color Italian gold bracelet.

On my left hand, a gold/diamond dust bracelet andmy yellow gold wedding set.

It was a pretty quiet weekend. But during my weekly run in HB Central Park, there was a Porsche club meeting.

I have never seen so many in one spot at the same time. It looked like the club members were having a great event.

Glamping of a Different Kind

If you read the blog a few weeks ago, then you know we went glamping up at Riley's Farm. This week, I did a different kind of glamping - a got a glam new lamp for the dining room.

We had a ceiling fan, and it was huge. So I got this art glass fixture from Euro Lighting. That's where I got my master bath fixture, and it was beautiful. The only problem is that it's a bit bright, so this weekend, I will substitute amber light bulbs for the 100 watters.

Then, I had the room repainted. We have an antique breakfront that is the prettiest shade of laquered forest green with brass fixtures.

So I went with a sage color by Valspar called Tea Leaves.

It has a much more calm and serene feel than the brick red that was there.

Yesterday, it was scorching out, so I wore a skirt and silk top combo. Not only did I forget to read the brand labels, but I also forgot to put on the bracelets I had chosen. Bad fashion blogger.

The skirt is brown chiffon with green and tan diagonal stripes. I also wore my new Karen Scott Mary Janes.

I wore two necklaces with the peach charmeuse top - both are from INC, and both were purchased at Macy's in Las Vegas.

Here's a closer look at the shorter one - it's rose gold and crystals. 

Today, I feel so comfy - like I am wearing pajamas.

This is an Antthony Designs top with Iman Global Chic printed knit pants.

I wore two silver necklaces - the longer one is herringbone, and the shorter one is lapis and crystals.

On my right arm, my Mom's love bracelet and an amethyst/opal ring.

On my left arm, another amethyst/opal ring, a diamond tennis bracelet, and an Italian silver bracelet.

And that's it . I didn't go to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I did order one item - a GloPro Microstimulation tool. It was priced well, so I will give it a try. It is marketed as an alternative to facial fillers. We'll see. I got my Clarisonic Mia last year at the same sale.

Birthdays and Hot Dogs

Today is National Hot Dog Day. I am still trying to figure out if there is somewhere I can get one today, but I am doubtful, unless I go the 7-11 convenience store route. But back to the clothes!!! This is what I wore yesterday :

This is an ancient dress with no label. What makes it so cool (and why it has hung out in my closet for so long) is that it's reversible. The other side is bright blue.

I always try to bring out the blue in the print, so I wore my two faux turquoise necklaces that I gotin Las Vegas.

On my right arm, a chalcedony ring, and two gold bracelets, one with diamonds.

On my left arm, an enamel cuff, a diamond band, and an opal ring.

 Now for the birthday!!! Yesterday was Luke's 33rd birthday, so we had a little family party after work. I wore a maxi dress that my MIL, Mimi, gave me.

As you can see from the side view, the wide pleather belt detail is attached.  The dress fabric is also fairly thin, so I had to wear a full length black slipdress under it.

The only jewelry I wore was my buffalo turquoise/smoky topaz statement necklace.

Onto today. This is a super comfy dress from Shelby and Palmer. 

I forgot to check myself in the mirror before I left, so I didn't know that the side tie was undone.

I tied it when I got to work.

My necklace is a convertible piece that was my mom's. There are three strands - you can double them and use the clip to make a shorter necklace, or wear them opera length. This version uses only two of the strands.

On my right arm, my Montana peridot ring, a sapphire bracelet, and an amethyst bracelet.

On my left arm, my creepy green ring from Nordstrom, a peridot bracelet, and a gold bracelet.

The Sky is Falling

And it landed on my Calvin Klein dress.

The color of this dress is called Cerulean. I have had it for a couple of years. The only downside is that I have to take it to the dry cleaner every time I wear it because of the underarms. It does have some nice draping and a silver bar trim.

I wore my Jessica Simpson T straps- they are beige suede with reptile trim.

A multi-gemstone necklace in silver goes well with the simplicity of the dress.

On my right arm, a silver cuff, a diamond band that goes about a third of the way around my finger ( it was my mom's) and a blue topaz ring.

On my left arm, a silver circle bracelet, a sapphire tennis bracelet, my own eternity band and a white gold round solitaire.

Yesterday, Pandi was slumbering away peacefully.....

Until I disturbed her and got some major stink eye.

Summertime, All the Time

Today I have two more summery looks for you, since the season is in full swing. This is what I wore yesterday:

This is an INC sheath dress with a Marisol sweater tank on top. I volunteered at a Bone Marrow Donor drive today, and I needed to quick change. I took off the sweater and put on my red T shirt, then switched back again after lunch. I made sure to coordinate my outfit with the red T shirt !!

I wore two necklaces today - the shorter one is costume Givenchy and the longer one is a costume pendant on a gold rope.

On my right arm, a leather/ goldtone cuff from INC and a garnet/citrine ring.

On my left arm, my Hermes CDC and my yellow gold wedding set.

Today, I have another dress and sweater combo.

The dress is the black eyelet dress that I got in Burbank in January. It came from a shop called Previously On. The shop sells clothes that have been worn in movies or on TV shows. The dress is from Susana Monaco.

                                     

On top, a short sweater from Off Fifth Saks Fifth Avenue.

The sweater has puffy fabric details on the front and along the edges.

With this outfit, I wore my buffalo turquoise and smoky topaz statement necklace.

On my right arm, my matching Swarovksi duo - the Nirvana ring in Black Diamond and the Infinity bracelet.

On my left arm, a Brighton bracelet and a white gold wedding set.
