The Longest Yard

It was a long week for me. On Tuesday, I had the Patient Safety Fair (got up at 4:45) and then Wednesday, I had a 5 hour meeting with a retirement party following. So I am totally looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend with Doc and the pups.

Yesterday, I wore a bright combo:

This is a wrap dress from Apt 9, which is a Kohl's brand. It is an actual wrap, so a black half slip was required. Underneath it, I wore a red cami from Clio.

On top, I wore my red leather jacket from id Sport.

I busted out my blood red druzy necklace. It needed a good cleaning. I have ignored it for quite a while.

On my right arm, a ruby cocktail ring, a gold bracelet, and a ruby bracelet.

On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding set, a garnet bracelet, and a gold bracelet.

Today, I went in the other direction, with a muted palette.

This is a vintage outfit. The pleated midi skirt is from Campus Casuals. The silk knit sweater is from August Silk. I have my Gucci horsebit chain belt on, even though you can't see it too well.

I wore my Kasper jacket, then immediately took it off - too much frump.

I wore a garnet cross necklace that was my mom's. As you can see, one of the stones fell out, so it needs to be repaired. I have had this kind of problem over and over with various garnet necklaces - at least it's not an expensive stone to replace.

On my right arm, a garnet cushion ring,a garnet/opal bracelet, and the matching garnet bracelet.

On my left arm, a Brighton bracelet, a ruby/diamond band, and a round diamond solitaire.

And that's about all, except for the links:

Et Fini !!!

Yesterday, I had one of my bigger events for my job here at the hospital. It's called the Patient Safety Fair, and all employees are welcome to come and learn the latest info on patient care. In order to get it all set up by 7 AM, I had to get up at 4:45. This may account for the dark pictures and the even darker expression:

Comfort and mobility were the buzz words for the day, so of course I chose my Calvin Klein knit jumpsuit. I love this thing so much.

I topped it with a black pinstripe blazer with gold sequin embellishment around the waistline.

Here are a couple of closer looks at the jacket. As you can see, it's all gold lame inside.

I wore my chunky gold tone costume necklace with this outfit.

On my right arm, two gold/diamond dust bracelets, and my veiny boulder ring from Nordstrom.

On my left arm, a gold/ diamond dust bangle, and my INC costume X ring.

Happily, the fair was a great success - everyone learned a lot and had a good time while they did it. My staff gave me these tokens of their gratitude - and it made me very happy to see that!!

Onto today, and back to our regular programming!!! This is what I wore:

The skirt is Bisou Bisou, back from 2007. I used to go to JC Penney a lot back then. The top is another item from my current obsession, Antthony Designs. This is the other piece that I found on Ebay for a very good price. It includes two shark bite tunics, this orchid one, and an aubergine one, and a scarf that coordinates with either color. I told Doc that the top is from that guy who I watch on TV sometimes, and he said , " Well, you seem to really like him, so that's good, isn't it?" Yes, it is.

Here's a closeup of the diagonally striped skirt and the lace print on the chiffon scarf.

My purple Austrian crystal necklace got out of its cage again today.

On my right arm, two lavender agate and silver bracelets, and a tanzanite ring that was my mom's.

On my left arm, an elaborate leather cuff from Spiegel, a Swarovski band, and a diamond cluster that was also my mom's. Like me, she had a lot of jewelry, and always matched it to her outfits.

Ready for Spring

I'm not letting spring leave me in the dust. Even though we are expecting a week of rain, I am taking advantage of today to wear a springy outfit:

This is yet another easy care pants set from Antthony Designs. I found two of them on EBay for about a quarter of the price they sell for on TV, so I bought them. This one is olive green with a poncho top and elastic waist slacks, and is very comfy, as usual for Antthony.

I wore my green and brown statement necklace with this.

On my right arm, my Swarovkski Infinity bracelet, and a costume ring by INC.

On my left arm, a costume bracelet, also from Ebay, and my creepy green ring from Nordstrom.

About once a month, Doc likes to go to the library while I run in the park, and get books for the kids from the Book Sale. This week, he got a bunch of them:

We save them for birthdays, Christmas and other gift giving holidays.

Short and sweet for this first day of Spring. Here are today's links:

Top O' the Mornin' to You

We will start off with what I wore yesterday :

Another one of my ultra-comfy pants suits, this time from Slinky Brand.

Since it has silver embellishments, I wore my silver braided necklace that was a gift from my mom for my birthday a few years ago.

On my right arm, a giant costume ring and a seraphinite bracelet from the Southwest Indian Foundation.

On my left arm, two tennis bracelets that were my mom's and a blue topaz ring.

I busted out my Cristian Siriano flats from Payless shoes. Due to the color, they don't get a lot of action

Here's a closer look at the embellishment on the tunic.

How do I celebrate St Patty's day ?

Sure n' begorrah !!! A green and navy dress from BCBG Max Azria. The top is silk and the bottom is knit. It has a pussy bow neckline and cold shoulders.

My mom's jade and lapis necklace is a perfect match.

On my right arm, an emerald/diamond ring, a Claddagh bracelet that Doc got me when we were in Ireland, and a peridot bracelet.

On my left arm, the matching Claddagh wedding ring, a diamond cut gold bracelet, and a lab created emerald tennis bracelet.

And that's it, except for some links!!

I'm not a bar hopper - that's how it goes when you have been happily married forever to someone who doesn't drink - but if you are, then have fun, and be safe !!! And hoist an Irish whiskey for good old Rosie!!!

Salt N Pepa

Today's outfit is a combo of both spices, with a little bit of red chili thrown in for good measure:

This is my Saks Fifth Avenue Black dress. It has an ivory top and a black skirt. It also has square embellishments at the slightly empire waistline.

For the chili part, I topped it with my red leather jacket from id sport.

More fire with my black suede pumps with the red organza rosette from Sesto Meucci.

I usually wear gold and pearls with this dress, but I had the silver bracelets out from yesterday, so I went with the matching black and silver Austrian crystal necklace.

On my right arm, a silver bracelet and a mother of pearl spaceship ring.

On my left arm, the aforementioned bracelets and an onyx spaceship ring.

Yesterday was a day of comfort and ease in my Antthony Designs pants set.

You may recall that I have the exact same set in red, black and white. I love them.

And here's a look at the purple Austrian crystal necklace.

I got my Ipsy bag yesterday. The theme was "You are beautiful". I like the bag a lot.

 Here is what was inside:

1) Elizabeth Mott Blending Brush
2) Pure Marula Facial Oil
3) Ouai Haircare Treatment Masque
4) INT Cosmetics eyeshadow in Goddess Gold
5) Balm Bahama Mama bronzer

It's been a busy few days for me. Maybe I will tell you all why later. We will have to see how it all spills down. At any rate, let's link:
