Well, that wouldn't be me, because I have blue eyes. So I did the next best thing, and wore a brown pants suit.
This is a Slinky Brand pants suit, from HSN. It has cold shoulders and a cowl neckline and is the comfiest thing ever. I wore a gold and brown braided belt with it. As you can see, it gives me the opportunity to wear my Nine West brown and orange T straps.
I also wore my Greenbeads knot necklace from Neiman Marcus.
On my right arm, my Swarovski duo - the Nirvana in Black Diamond, and the Infinity bracelet.
On my left arm, my yellow gold wedding set and a turtle bracelet that I got from EBay.
I do have two special brown eyed girls in my life, however.
Elesha and Elli !!!! Have a great day.
Today links are www.garaytreasures.com for a sweet post from the equally sweet Rachel, and the beautiful Jess at www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com for Turning Heads Tuesday. Visit these lovely ladies if you get a chance.

MIA = Miserable Illness Activity
I am been AWOL for a few days. I have a good reason. I had a double whammy - Influenza B and strep throat. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I went for my walk on Wednesday, and when I got back I felt chilly. But we have been having problems with our AC here in the office, so I figured it was just too cold again. Then I called Doc and asked if he wanted to go to Toys R Us with me to get Calista's birthday present and he said yes. By the time I got home to pick him up, I was fully viremic with fever and chills. He loaded me up with Tamiflu, Zithromax, Ny Quil, Benadryl, and Ambien. I was in bed for four days, and now I am back at work, about 80%. I still have apthous ulcers from the ordeal, which makes it painful to swallow, but that's all that is left.
Anyway, here is what I wore to be welcomed to my near-death experience.
These are my blue Calvin Klein pants with a white cold shoulder top with silver studs by INC. The gray belt has a center ornament of crystals.
On my left arm, a turquoise cuff and my Swarovksi Trema.
On my right arm, another turquoise cuff.
I wore my Southwest Indian Foundation cross necklace.
My canvas gladiator sandals are by Joe's.
My Ipsy bag came sometime over the weekend. Here's what was in it:
1) Tarte Lipsurgence lip color in Wonder
2) A blending brush from it Cosmetics
3) A Starlooks eyeliner pencil in black
4) That Glo Tho highlighter in Trust Fund
5) Skin and CO Boosting Anti-Aging Serum
It came in a tie dye bag and the theme was Dream On.
This is a picture of Elli's tray. She leaves a trail of destruction as she eats.
This is how I looked on Thursday morning. Not so good. But funny.
Doc brought me red and white roses. He is also taking Tamiflu because I have totally exposed him to my various diseases. He's used to that from being a doctor for so many years.
On Sunday, it was in the eighties, so Doc took me and Elli for a ride. We went down to Seal Beach. I didn't leave the car, but I must admit it was nice to get out of the room.
Today, I am back at work. Here is what I am wearing. I dropped a few pounds.
This is a Nine West knit pirate dress.
It's super comfy. On my left arm, a gold bangle and my yellow gold wedding set.
On my right arm, my creepy green Nordstrom ring and a beaded/crystal bracelet from Neiman Marcus.
I am wearing a thick costume chain with crystals. I think I got it at Stein Mart.
And of course, my Calvin Klein belt.

Groovin' in Green !!!
Today, I decided to wear my forest green blouse with a different color than last time. This time, I combined it with grey pants.
I also wore a blazer on top, but it was a different shade of grey, so it didn't really match. I did wear the same two necklaces as last time.
The longer one is INC and the shorter one is Ann Taylor. Since the blouse has long sleeves, I only wore two rings and no bracelets.
On my right hand, my creepy green Nordstrom ring, and on my left hand, a diamond/emerald ring that Doc gave me. I wore my Tahari Maryjane shoes.
And that's about it. I think I prefer this blouse with off white pants. Two links today - Jess at www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com has Turning Heads Tuesday, and Ana Luiza has Start the Week Stylish over at www.northwestblonde.com.
Have a great day, and I'll see you all later!!!

I Wish the Weekend was Only Wet
A sad thing happened over the weekend. One of our friends had their house burn down. I can't imagine the pain and suffering. So we are trying to get a Go Fund Me page going. In the meantime, prayers and support.
So here is what I wore today. I assembled this outfit prior to hearing the bad news.
This is a Moschary blazer and some INC slacks. I have had the blazer a long time, and the tailoring still impresses me. The slacks have stitching down the sides, which you can see below in the shot of my Audrey Brooke black suede pumps.
Under the blazer, I wore a plain black satin top with trapunto stitching on the neckline.
My gothic statement necklace is another oldie - I have had to repair it several times. Here is also a better look at the stitching on the yoke of the pants.
Only two rings and no bracelets today - on my right, a silver and onyx spaceship ring and on the left, my Swarovski Trema ring.
On Saturday, this was in the mailbox, to my delight!!!
I love the boxes from the Rifle Paper Co. The botanical prints are beautiful. Here's What was inside, from top to bottom:
1) Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution toner and makeup remover
2) Dr Jart Liftra Contour Cream
3) Au Naturale Mini Face Palette in Lively
4) Odacite Black Cumin and Cajeput Serum Concentrate to help with zits
5) Amika Undone Texture Spray - love Amika products.
I also stopped by the store and picked up a couple of things for Elli :
The top one is actually brown. I also got a couple of gifts for myself (duh).
Sometimes they have workout tapes. This time, I scored and got three Tony Horton tapes.
And finally, I worked on a little repair project. We have a statue of the Egyptian goddess Hathor, and somehow her horns got broken off. So I mended them with oven bake clay and then painted them. I will show you the finished product after I do the second coat tonight.
So let's do the Monday linking!!! Rachelle at www.pinksole.com has How I Spring, Deb has Classy Monday over at www.elegantlyfashionable.com, and Cherie at www.stylenudge.com has Shoe and Tell.
Have a great day and stay safe!!!

A Cinnamon Sweet Roll
Today is the second of four rainy days. I dressed for comfort and dryness.
Gotta love those action shots!!! This is a Nordstrom turtleneck, an INC tiered mesh skirt, and an Emanuel Ungaro satin blazer. I am also wearing black tights and my new short boots that I got in Las Vegas last week.
The necklace I'm wearing is also from Nordstrom. I have had it a long time, but I don't wear it that often.
On my right arm, my Swarovski duo - the Nirvana in Black Diamond and the Infinity bangle.
On my left arm, an RJ Graziano costume rose gold watch and a smoky topaz ring.
Not much else to say - last night was dull - I worked out, walked the dogs, then fell asleep by 9:30. Such an exciting life I lead!! Three links for Friday - www.jolynneshane.com has Fashion Friday, Sheree at www.poshclassymom.com has Weekend Wear, and Dawn Lucy has Fun Fashion Friday over at www.fashionshouldbefun.com.
Well, hopefully, I will do something fun over the weekend. Taking my mom around to doctors and then Wal Mart exhausted me. And next Friday, we will have a repeat performance.
