Show Me The Money !!!

I have a very important meeting today, and I need to look ultra-conservative. My friend Lynne suggested that I try to look as much like a banker as possible. Thus, this suit:

This suit is made by Classiques Entier, which is one of Nordstrom's house brands. It is navy, with a very subtle, bankerish red pinstripe. I am wearing a red silk camisole underneath. The jacket has very flattering tailoring to it, which I will attempt to convey in the next two shots.

I wore my classic gold tone link necklace from Stein Mart, which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

Likewise, some classic, non-flashy jewelry, just two thin bracelets and a ring.

And for my accessories, my favorite Calvin Klein pilgrim shoes and a Brighton handbag.

I am as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. So we'll just link, I'll get my meeting over with, and then I will use the weekend to decompress. So....... There Ain't No Cure For the Summertime Blues

Oh, yes there is !!!! You start with one part sunflowers, courtesy of Doc :

Then add one part sky blue outfit, courtesy of Merona (silk skirt), Bandolino (chiffon top), and unknown strip mall store (shrug).:

The add three parts turquoise and topaz jewelry:

Then add two parts Dolce Vita shoes and Orange County Fair handbag :

Three Cheers for the Red, Gold and Blue

                                Today's outfit is a very classic, All-American type getup:

This is a vintage suit jacket by Suits Me, combined with my ultra-comfy Iman pants. Underneath, I have a gold lurex camisole. I wore my vintage matte gold necklace with the multi-colored cabochon stones.

     Today is definitely vintage day, because I am also wearing my navy and gold cord belt.

In this shot, you can see the navy and gold cording around the edges of the jacket, and the navy buttons with gold centers. I carried my denim/ gold leather tote from Neiman Marcus and wore my black and gold DiDe shoes.

For my arms, two matching rings - one is sapphire and one is ruby. On the right, the J Crew crystal bracelet that everyone and their brother bought a couple of years ago.

On the left, three Austrian crystal stretchy bracelets that an old co-worker of mine made for me.

I Think I See Noah's Ark!!!!

Oh yay, oh yay, we are finally getting some rain here in Southern California. Here's the corner office view:

For this momentous occasion, I wore the dress I got at Neiman Marcus a few weeks ago.

                     I topped it with my silver satin "alien" jacket from American Rag Et Cie.

To keep my feet dry, I wore my grey suede boots from JC Penney's Black Friday sale, at least 5 years ago - they have been refurbished by the local cobbler.

Then, I layered two silver tone necklaces. The shorter one is from unknown provenance, and the longer one is from Avon, and was a gift from my mom.

                          On my right hand, a silver iron cross ring and a Brighton bracelet.

      On my left arm, my silver mother of pearl spaceship ring, and a costume silver bracelet.

When I was leaving this morning, Doc made his usual assessment of my getup. Here it is:

These are ivory Ann Taylor slacks, with the Express Portofino blouse I picked up in Santa Barbara.

I have accented this simple ensemble with a goldtone triple chain belt that I have had forever.

          I also wore a faux pearl and pink crystal necklace that is also very very "seasoned".

                      I wore my pale pink Fioni pumps and carried my Aldo handbag.

So which will your description of this outfit be:
1) Ready to play Bingo in West Palm Beach ( my interpretation)
2) One of Charlie's Angels (Doc's interpretation).

I will wait with baited breath for your opinion. In the meantime, I will leave you with my only picture from this weekend. We just took Kentucky Fired Chicken to my mom for Saturday's lunch, and then I visited a friend up in Beverly Hills on Sunday.  Here are the ducks in HB Central Park, taking a dip.

La Pantera

                Today, I am dressed like a panther in the jungle - all black from head to toe.

This knit jumpsuit is made by Calvin Klein. I got it it Saks, Calvin Klein is my favorite designer of all time. It has a cowl neckline and gold studs along the pockets and sleeve edges. It has an elastic waist with a VERY long drawstring, but today, I decided to cover that with my Versace belt for a more formal look.

 I continued the gold on black theme with my goldtone costume necklace from Stein Mart.

                On my right arm, I have a small garnet ring and a gold/diamond dust bangle.

   On my left arm, two gold bracelets and my tiny wedding ring with the infinity design.

                           I got all matchy-matchy by carrying my Versace messenger bag.

                          And just a tiny touch of red in my Calvin Klein pilgrim shoes.

     I have a meeting today, and when I go, I will cover up with my Kasper pinstriped blazer.

Thunderstorms and Lightning, Very Very Frightening!!!

Yesterday, I spent almost the entire day in the OR in scrubs, so no outfit pix for you all. Last night, we had a violent summer storm with thunder and lightning, and the beaches were evacuated, since a person was killed by lightning on the beach last year. I got caught in the downpour, but it actually felt really good. When I got home, Doc brought me flowers.

                          They inspired me to wear a blue, yellow and white getup today.

I picked up this little knit shift at Ross last year while I was looking for a bathroom rug. That's how it works sometimes. With it, I wore a costume necklace that I got at Nordstrom Rack.

I wore espadrille sandals from Target that continue the grey and yellow theme, and carried my denim/gold leather tote from Neiman Marcus.

On my right arm, a plastic stretchy costume bangle and a little Italian gold ring that my mom gave me.

                  On my left arm, a wedding set and a metal stretchy bangle that is by INC.
