Survey - No Way !!!

So the survey is finally over. Yesterday was my "interview". It was a non-event. All is well. But in order to look professional:

I wore an Ellen Tracy double breasted navy wool suit with my sorta new silk cowl neck top that is green with navy polka dots.

My blue suede INC shoes are getting to be in need of heel taps, but I'm not sure if I want to replace them.

I wore a lapis and jade necklace and a belt that is older than the hills.

Last night, I didn't want to iron, so I wore a Michael Kors dress. It's a go to for me.

Another ancient belt - black patent with clear stones.

Three necklaces - two silver herringbone and one blue topaz.

On my left arm, an Italian silver bracelet and wedding rings.

On my right arm, a leopard jasper ring, a diamond tennis bracelet and another Italian bracelet.

Hard to see, but sheer polka dot hose.

And a nose pick for the win!!!

Waiting it Out

This week, we have surveyors at our hospital, which means that everything STOPS dead while we show them whatever they want to see. It's a surprise survey, so I did not get the opportunity to dress super professionally yesterday, but today is a different story.

Doc liked this long pleated silk skirt and a knit peasant top with chiffon sleeves.

My belt is really old and has been ignored for quite a long time. I wore my rose gold locket since it was long enough to not interfere with my neckline.

I wore my Tahari maryjanes even though they are not a perfect match - the horror, but they are just so cute.

Today, I knew they would be back, so I wore a suit by Dani Max. It has a jacket, a printed vest type thing and black slacks.

This is the slacks and the vest.

Then I added the deep red jacket.

The jacket has gold buttons, and so I wore a matte gold collar with multi colored cabochons.

Yesterday, it was Certified Hospital Professionals Day. I am certified a couple of different ways, in a couple of different disciplines.

My staff sent me roses and brought tamales.

This weekend, the Cherry Blossom Festival interrupted my Sunday run through the park. But I dodged them and persevered.

For St Paddy's Day, I had a large tot of Irish Whiskey, and made bangers with onions, bacon and gold peppers, cabbage with carrots and mashed potatoes.

And now we are up to date !!

Cloudy with A Chance of Dorky

I have nothing to tell you (that I can ) except to show you what I wore:

This is a cashmere dress by Ann Taylor. It is an XS. I got it secondhand, and if I paid for it, I would have gotten a S, because it is snug. To say the least.

If I suck it in enough, I look great. So I only do that when I have to walk through the hospital without an exam jacket - not often. I wore sheer dark grey hose, and I had to be sure there were no holes. On the plus side, my legs are banging. They should be, after all these years.

I have this inexpensive belt that I got at some time, some year. I wear it backwards with purple dresses. And you also see my bitchin' Avon faux emerald necklace. I love that thing, and all Avon jewelry was super high quality.

The two baubles designed to conceal my bony chest are real - upper is emerald and diamond, bottom is amethyst.

On my left arm, a diamond dust bangle and a white/black diamond ring.

On the right arm, two diamond dust bracelets, and a smoky topaz flower ring.

Today, I gave these pants a final chance. No go - I had a wedgie all day long. I got them when I had a serious medical condition 10 years ago, and weighed less. They hurt, but what really stinks is everyone thought I looked great - I got a ton of compliments, but pain.

I do love the Joseph A top - one of my go to favorites. I strive to be elegant, but skew glamorous. On top, a Belle Sport pale beige suede jacket that has to go to the cleaners. But it's super cute.

The Pants O' Pain have a nice subtle pinstripe - that's why I wanted them to still fit. But O Hell No.

I love my INC necklace. So close to elegant. It's the shape.

So that's all. Work is very busy and I have a lot of stuff going on - new blinds, new closet doors, etc, and I will show it as it unfolds. Until then, have a great weekend, and I will be snoozin' in. For sure.

Hurray for Hollywood !!!

We'll get to that. But first, this is what I wore today :

This is my silk pleated skirt from Gap with a very old maroon velour turtleneck. I sure have been getting a lot of use out of these since they came back into style this year.

On top, I wore my tan Style and Co waterfall cardigan.

On my left arm, a gold/diamond dust bangle and a black/white diamond ring.

On my right arm, two diamond dust bracelets and a smoky topaz ring.

Hard to see, but two rose gold necklaces.

And the reason why I chose this particular color combo? My new Halogen booties!!

I also got my Ipsy bag yesterday. This month's theme is Create, and it came with two markers to color it with.

Here's what was inside:
1) Sknne large eyeshadow brush
2) two markers - blue and green
3) Skin and Co Whipped Cleansing Cream
4) Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream
5) Benefit Bad Girl BANG Mascara
6) Tarte Sex Kitten eyeliner

So yesterday, I went to the Dr Phil show in Hollywood. I got out of the studio by 1:45. Normally, I would have gone shopping over in Beverly Hills, but since the President was coming up to LA that day, I high tailed it out of there.  I did get a mug and a Robin McGraw lipgloss as gifts.

You are asked to wear dark business style clothing. This is what I wore - I got moved up to the front row because the producer said my outfit photographed well. When I moved up, he gave me the gifts.

And that's about all for today !!!
