Playing Catch Up !!!

As you may know, I left for Las Vegas Monday morning. So I have a bit of catching up to do. First of all, we took my mom to church on Easter Sunday. Bear in mind, that this is the first time she has been to church since Christmas, since she has been sick. So I believe that it meant a lot to her. Here is what I wore:

This is a Jones New York satin blouse with a Sharagano scuba skirt. I wore Aldo sandals and a gold chain belt.

I doubled up on sapphire and diamond necklaces. After church, Doc and I went to Pinoy, the Filipino restaurant, for lunch. We ended up with some rib bones, which the boys gladly accepted.

Kenni and his bone.

Vinni and Kenni pick out bones.

Vinni and his bone.

Then, the grandkids came over for their Easter baskets. Elli helped them celebrate.

Calista modeled her tiara with gorgeous yellow hair.

Benjy and Joseph were thrilled with their gifts.

Kim showed Benjy how to use his bubbles, while Joseph counted his money.

Before you know it, it was time for me to kiss Elli and Doc goodbye.

And two hours later, I was on Las Vegas Blvd, aka The Strip.

I got there in time to do a little shopping (duh) and I will show you the spoils later. But now, I will show you the Conservatory at the Bellagio. It had an Asian/cherry blossom theme this time around.

Up on the ceiling, there were Japanese parasols.

Two beautiful birds were on either side.

A giant crane spread his wings to greet you.

There was a nest filled with little origami birds.

And bamboo cages with live finches chirping away.

There were more finches, along with cherry blossoms, up in the glass ceiling.

Big cherry blossoms sprouted, and also hung from the ceiling.

And finally, a turtle bid you goodbye.

Today was the first day of my conference. Here is what I wore:

My new Donna Ricco black and gold brocade dress. I wore my velvet Talbott's belt.

On top, I wore my ivory/gold lurex blazer.

My Greenbeads by Emily and Ashley knot necklace was perfect !!

On my left arm, two gold bracelets, and my tiny infinity wedding band. On my right arm, two more gold bracelets, and my Nordstrom veiny boulder ring.

After the session was over, I went for a walk to get my exercise. I saw the ring all set up at the MGM Grand. Manny Pacquiao will be fighting there on April 9.

Doc has been sending me pix and videos of my sweet little Elli, to cheer me up and make me feel less homesick.

Most of them are of her eating or begging. She's still super cute.

Well, I will show you all what I bought while I was here in my next post. In the meantime, I will get ready for tomorrow and go to bed. See you all later!!!

It's A Good Friday

Not only in the religious sense, but today is my last day before I go to Las Vegas for a few days. Here is my parting shot at office wear:

This is a Studio G skirt, a Bebe top and an Ann Taylor sweater. The skirt is silk, and the flowers are embroidered and appliqued on.

I wore two amethyst necklaces, one short and one a little longer.

On my right arm, a diamond tennis bracelet, and a gold/diamond dust bracelet.

On my left arm, two more gold bracelets and my yellow gold wedding rings.

I finished the look off with my BCBG boots.

The Human Easter Egg

I was too busy to post both yesterday and this morning, due to my workload. I had a special project that I needed to complete. But now it's all done. So yesterday, I was dressed like a giant Easter Egg.

It was nothing special, just some black cigarette pants, a gold tank top, and a striped blouse from Stein Mart. I had to enlarge one of the pictures to show my necklaces.

Sorry that it's blurry. The shorter one is my matte gold collar with multi color cabochons. The longer one is a gold chain with a faux emerald pendant. I wore my black shoes by Di De.

Today, I went for one of my Antthony pants sets. This time, it was the black, red, and white version.

These sets are so comfy and easy to care for. I wore the thick silver collar that my Mom gave me last year for my birthday.

Today, I pushed up my sleeves and wore bracelets. On my right arm,

My garnet ring from this year's birthday, and a freshwater pearl bracelet from the Chakra Shack in Laguna Beach.

On my left arm, a diamond solitaire, a ruby band, and the garnet/opal bracelet that I got for my 40th birthday. I also wore my black and white Guess shoes.

I have a whole bunch of links, since Wednesday has the most, and I am behind. So I will be a bad blogger and catch up with listing the urls later.

Have a great day, and I'll see you later!!!

Plum Perfect

I bought this dress at Saks a couple of weeks ago. It came in black and aubergine. The black was gorgeous, but since I have a ton of black dresses, I went for the aubergine.

It photographs more purple than it looks in person. It is made by Calvin Klein, and has a nice double zipper in gold. I think it can be worn as a turtleneck, but I went for the wing collar look for today. the color of the dress allowed me to bust out a necklace that I haven't worn for a while.

This is made by Givenchy. It's actually very pretty, in lots of different red and pink tones. Speaking of red, on my right arm.

This ring is my birthday present, while the bracelet came from Maya on Melrose. On my left arm,

A stretchy crystal bracelet from Saks and a diamond/garnet ring that Doc gave me along time ago. I also wore a pair of Nine West shoes in black, burgundy and pale grey.

I have the exact same pair in brown, orange and gold.

My boss gave me flowers today for a job well done. I won't get into it here, but I will show you the beautiful pink gerbera daisies that she gave me, in front of a lot of people at a meeting.

That makes three times this past week that I have received flowers. That's a record - I just hope that I'm not dead. :)

The Vernal Equinox

Today is the first day of spring, but you would never know it by our cloudy, dreary weather. It's very foggy out. I wore a safari inspired ensemble:

This color blocked knit shift is from Loft. The safari jacket, which has lurex all through it, is from Cache. My shoes are Sam and Libby. I got the dress and the shoes this weekend, but I'll get to that later. It just so happens that I have the perfect necklace for this outfit.

This really is a perfect match. On my right arm, I have my Swarovski Nirvana in Black Diamond and a copper/rhinestone link bracelet.

On my left arm, I have my creepy green ring from Nordstrom and a leather harness bracelet.

So, onto the shopping!!! On Friday, I took my mom for her doctor's appointments. From experience, I knew that there was a great consignment shop down there, so of course I buzzed by. They were having a 50% off sale. Here's what I picked up.

The Loft dress that I am wearing above.

A black knit dress with gold buckles made by Venus, which is a local Socal swimsuit and resort brand.

A gorgeous Donna Ricco sheath in black with gold lurex. Here's a better look at the fabric.

Some Sam and Libby ankle strap shoes that were new with tags.

Pretty good haul, eh? I don't get by this shop too often, because it's in South Orange County, near my mom's place. I also attended an open house for the new pulmonary rehab unit here at the hospital, and the gift was this set of Coby headphones. They are really nice.

Also this weekend, we made our grandkid's Easter baskets.

Calista got a sparkly dress, a wand and a tiara, a stuffed bunny, and some sand toys.

Joseph and Benjy got identical baskets, with candy eggs, money filled egss, Frozen items, Ninja Turtle items, and bubbles.

Preston got money eggs, candy eggs, jelly beans, a chocolate bunny, some Paws Patrol items, a potato gun, some Star Wars items, and a plastic German shepherd dog.

The g-kids are getting bigger, so we only have a few more fun years to give Easter baskets. Before we link, here's a cute springtime picture of my little Elli.

As you can see, she is all head and ears.

On Friday, Dawn Lucy of www.fashionshouldbefun.com had Fin Fashion Friday, so I will catch up. Today, Deb from www.elegantlyfashionable.com has Classy Monday, and Rachelle has How I Fall over at www.pinksole.com. And finally, Cherie at www.stylenudge.com has Shoe and Tell.

I hope you had a good weekend, and stay tuned!!!
