An Amazon dress, retail $168

A V-neck sweater from Perry Ellis, retail $89.50

A zip cardigan from Croft and Barrow, retail $54

We went to visit my niece Benny and her boyfriend Jonathan, who were out visiting from Boston. I wore ivory slacks from White House Black Market, a lurex sweater from Nordstrom, and a matching rose gold leather jacket from Baccini.

All rose gold jewelry to accessorize.

We had a neighborhood garage sale on March 29th. I got two pieces of costume jewelry: a blue lariat, and a long strand of pearls.

Doc got two belts.

We got a dog-walking bag. The one we are using is falling apart, so now we have a replacement.

Speaking of dogs, I got a bone shaped picture frame.

This cool book describes every beach on the county where we live, beautiful Orange County, California.

Doc got a bunch of shirts. They were $5 each. Altogether, with the belts, Doc got about $1200 of clothes for $40.This one is from Robert Graham.

This one is from Thomas Dean. These two shirts retail for over $200 apiece. They are very well made, with contrast fabric on the placket and cuffs.

Then he got a bunch of shirts from Relax by Tommy Bahama. They retail for $128 apiece. Most of them are linen. The peach one will be a perfect match for my dress that I am planning to wear to our nephew Dustin's wedding at the end of June.

I got a fold-down ironing board. Now I can stand and iron while I watch TV.

I found two crystal bracelets, but they needed to be restrung.

Then we went to the swap meet one Sunday. I found this Paloma Picasso purse for $1. They cost about $250.

These two belts from Kohls were $2.

I found two vintage recipe pie plates, $5 apiece. This one has a recipe for Cheesecake.

This plate has a recipe for German Chocolate Cake.

I got two sets of reed diffusers - fruit fragrances, and perfumes. They were $2 apiece

On April 1st, we accompanied our grandson Preston to the doctor's office. I wore the Banana Republic slacks with a black turtleneck and a bolero sweater from Dana Buchman.

This is the strand of pearls from the garage sale. I used them to hang these black enamel pendants. This Joan Rivers set came with a strand of pearls, but they broke, and I have been waiting to find a good replacement.

We love to go to thrifts on Senior Day, so one Tuesday, we took a trip to Savers. I found an apple pie recipe plate.

I got three books to take on my vacation.

I found a Banana Republic sweater in Forever Yarn fabrication. I actually do not own a powder blue sweater.

This zip back sweater is from Zara.

This burnt amber turtleneck is viscose and nylon, from Cielo. I love how the fall colors look on me.

On April 2nd, I wore the amber turtleneck with printed pants from NY and Co, and sneakers from Temu.

On April 7th, I wore the Perry Ellis sweater with knit slacks from express, and platform sneakers from  Temu.

Speaking of Temu, they sent me two more free gifts for being such a good customer. I could claim one per day. First, this malachite tassel necklace, and then, red agate beads. Now that the tariffs are in place, my Temu days may come to an end. We'll see!

On April 8th, I wore white pants from White House Black Market, and a blue V-neck sweater from Banana Republic, in their Silk and Cashmere luxury blend. My topcoat is from Philosophy.

On April 9th, Mimi and I went to see the ballet Peter Pan, at the HB Public Library. It was fabulous! We will plan on going to all the events from Ballet Etudes next year.

I wore a grey leopard dress from Kate Spade, along with a lurex cover up from JM Collection.

On April 10th, I had to go up to Forest Lawn Cemetery to help a friend with some legal stuff. I wore a sundress from Saks Fifth Ave Black. I came back home via the coastal route. It was a beautiful day, and I praised God for all the beauty of nature that he provides to our little beach communities.

My necklaces are INC. I got them in Washington DC in 2019. Six years in time, but a lifetime in experiences, due to the pandemic.

Jacki is such a lady! I found her laying in this very demure position.

On April12th, I made a stir fry of lots of vegetables to bring over to my in-laws. My FIL Win has been ill. He got heat exhaustion and dehydration on April 5th. Mimi called us, and we could not get him up and he looked very sick, so we called 911. The paramedics came and took him to Orange Coast hospital, where he was revived. He has slowly been recuperating, and Doc has been spending the nights over there to help them out. His sister Tawn has been coming up from San Diego to relieve him. Luke has done a lot of work on the house, putting in a gate and replacing a toilet. He also got a raise seat for the other toilet, and a nice La-Z-Boy recliner. The family is pulling for a full recovery for our 93-year-old patriarch. It has been slow but steady, which is wonderful.

Since I have been alone, Pandi has been my little faithful companion, but I have been giving her too much people food, and she has gotten fat. Oh well, there are worse problems in the world than being pudgy!

I got my Ipsy bag. From top to bottom:

1) MZ Skin Soothe and Smooth Hyaluronic Brightening Eye Complex

2) Kiramoon Silkie Rinse Gentle Hydrating Cleanser- taking on my trip.

3) Blinc Ultra Volume Tubing Mascara in Black

4) Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray, Anti-Frizz Treatment. I have heard great things about this, and I will try it this weekend.

5) KVOS NYC Lip Trip Lip Liner in Tribeca.

I also got my Birch box. From Left to Right:

1) Birchbox Travel Brush

2) Arrow non-aluminum deodorant - I requested this product.

3) Magnitone Wipe-Out makeup remover swipes

4) Arizona fragrance from Proenza Schouler

5) Busy Co Love It facial wipes- for brightening and refreshing my wrinkly old face.

6) R+Co ONE Hair Prep Spray

So that's about all for now! I leave on my trip to Charleston, Savannah, and Atlanta early in the morning on Tuesday the 22nd. Stay tuned for all those shenanigans! i am nervous about the flight, as always, but am excited to see a part of our beautiful country that I have not had the pleasure of visiting.
